Day of Surgery 手术当天

First 24 Hours After Surgery 手术后前24小时

Bleeding Control 止血控制

Bite firmly on the gauze pad placed over the surgical area for 30-45 minutes在手术部位的纱布垫上用力咬合30-45分钟

Oral Hygiene After Surgery 手术后的口腔卫生

! First 24 Hours — Do NOT Rinse 前24小时 — 不要漱口

Do not rinse, spit, or use mouthwash for the first 24 hours. This protects the blood clot that forms in the surgical area, which is essential for healing. 前24小时不要漱口、吐口水或使用漱口水。这可以保护手术区域形成的血凝块，这对愈合至关重要。

2 After 24 Hours — Gentle Salt Water Rinses 24小时后 — 轻柔盐水漱口

Rinse gently with warm salt water (½ teaspoon salt in 8 oz water) 4-5 times daily, especially after meals. Do not swish vigorously — let the solution flow gently through your mouth. 用温盐水（240毫升水中加入½茶匙盐）轻柔漱口，每天4-5次，尤其是饭后。不要剧烈漱口——让盐水轻柔地流过口腔。

3 Brushing — Gentle & Careful 刷牙 — 轻柔小心

You may gently brush your other teeth starting the day after surgery. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and avoid the surgical site for the first 1-2 weeks. 4 Prescribed Rinse — If Applicable 处方漱口水 — 如适用

If prescribed chlorhexidine (Peridex) mouth rinse, use it as directed — typically twice daily for 1-2 weeks. This antimicrobial rinse helps prevent infection at the surgical site. 如果处方了氯己定（Peridex）漱口水，请按照指示使用——通常每天两次，持续1-2周。这种抗菌漱口水有助于防止手术部位感染。

What to Expect 预期恢复

Normal Healing Timeline 正常愈合时间线

Days 1-3: Acute Phase 第1-3天：急性期

Swelling, mild discomfort, and slight bleeding are normal. Numbness from anesthesia fades within a few hours. Pain is usually manageable with prescribed and over-the-counter medications. 肿胀、轻微不适和少量出血是正常的。麻醉的麻木感在几小时内消退。疼痛通常可以通过处方药和非处方药来控制。

Days 4-7: Improvement Begins 第4-7天：开始好转
